Tropical Cyclone Alfred has intensified to a Category 2 system and is projected to impact more towards inland along the Queensland coast. The cyclone is expected to bring damaging to destructive wind gusts up to 150 km/h, heavy rainfall with potential for life-threatening flash flooding, and storm surges.
